I loved Nightrunner back in the day. Her other series, the Tamir Triad, was also really interesting - sort of dark magic, horror. I think the MC used magic to change their gender at will.

I know you said Luck in the Shadows, but when I saw the book I thought it said Duck and was picturing a Dark Wing Duck mysteries, and him being in the shadows makes sense.

Everyone is saying bones to the wind is good so I’m so curious to try it! I hope you enjoy it whenever you get to it.

I first picked up Yours Truly (freebie through BOTM), and I was surprised by how much I really enjoyed it. Now I'm planning to read all her books.

this was by far the best review of Part of Your World that I've ever seen. I still haven't read the book, but this made me want to read it even more. I also want to read Look Closer

OMG I loved Part of Your World!! 5 stars lol. I could relate to the character dating way younger guys but I didn't freak out about it or about booty calls haha. Loved that lifestyle my whole life! I remember dating an 18yr old when I was 24, but our families knew each other when we were in the same school lol. I've had some crazy age gaps, I'd date 42 yr olds when I was 25. Then a decade younger when I was 31. Now my bf is 6 years older than me.😆🤣😂

as a almost 29 year old i can absolutely say that there is a gap between us and the 22 year olds 😔 and now i realize that i was just as annoying at 22 as i was at 17, and i'll probably change my views on 29 in a couple of years, nobody take this personally tho

I also thought the age gap was silly but I do think this exists more in super rich people circles. Cause I have a friend in a similar tax bracket to Alexis and her husband is only 3-4 years younger but I remember when they first started dating she was initially nervous about that age gap 😆

22:35 I read the Blazewrath games…. It… is not good. It’s YA but reads way too young. The main character has chosen one plot armor. No training necessary she’s just suddenly good at everything lol and I’ll spoil one scene farther down ⬇️ but yeah I read the whole thing and it goes downhill really quickly lol will the target audience like it? Yes. But from a technical standpoint the writing wasn’t good lol • • • • • SPOILER: There’s a scene when a character DIES and then the MC and another character literally start celebrating and giggling next to his dead body after they get out of the danger and then the MC is literally like “oh we shouldn’t be happy… so and so is dead right next to us” 🤓
